Happy Pi Day

Pi Day is Sunday (get it? 3.14) and since we don't have school on Sunday, my classes celbrated pi day today. We of course ate pie and we watched some great pi day music videos. And I'm such a mean teacher that I made them find the area of each pie and make a pie chart of the types of pie before they could eat any pie. My Geometry class has been working on a circle project this week and they presented them. They looked awesome! I'll have to take some pictures to post because I am just so impressed with their work! It was such a fun day and hopefully some of my students are more willing to embrace their nerdiness!
